The fact is that we have discovered that those who are obedient and separated from the Messiah are those who are under His law. 1. Consider the meaning of the phrase “by virtue of the law” in Pauline literature. 3. The believers under the Old Covenant were not “under the law.” So does the law contradict God`s promises? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then justice would really be through law. 22 But the scriptures have enclosed all things under sin, that the promise may be given by faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe. In light of this passage, and perhaps contrary to what you thought, how do we know who is or was “under the law”? I have created a short checklist for you based on this passage. For all those who have sinned without the law shall perish without the law, and all those who have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; It should be noted that the “Scriptures,” which sin everything, are actually mentioned by Paul in Romans. For all that are works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is he who does not keep all that is written in the book of the law to fulfill it.” The main point of Paul`s use of “under the law” here is to serve as a reminder and warning to those believers that they no longer have to live as before! When the commandment comes to bring life, they do not have to allow sin to bring death. They can be blessed by submitting to God`s Spirit, which is always in accordance with God`s Torah, and doing what the commandment requires! (Romans 7:10-14) Amen. Although this study is profound, we should not underestimate its importance.
Those who are under the law have big problems! You have no salvation! For we have already denounced that all, Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as written: For although I am free from all, I have made myself a servant of all, that I may gain more. 20 I became a Jew as a Jew in order to win Jews. For those who were under the law, I became a under the law (although I was not under the law myself) so that I could win those under the law. 21 For those who were outside the law, I became one outside the law (not outside the law of God, but under the law of Christ) so that I could win those who were outside the law. 22 For the weak, I became weak so that I could win over the weak. I have become everything to everyone, so I can certainly save a few. In addition to this interpretation, there are two effects on the person who lives “under the law.” Both consequences stem from the reality that no one can adequately deserve their own justice. The effects of a person wishing to be “under the law” are as follows: Going back to our Galatians passage, verse 27 acts as a parallel verse to verse 26. The idea of being His Son in the Messiah comes only from baptism in Him. Much of what we are discussing here could be read before the section on the sons of God and should be understood as essential truths necessary to live as sons of God.
Since the order in Galatians is not chronological, we will also delve deeper into Romans 6, which also precedes many passages we have already discussed. If you wish, you can read this section and then go through the previous sections to further improve your understanding. Therefore, it is important to understand the difference between those who seek to gain righteousness through the works of the law and those who walk according to Yahweh`s Torah in response to deliverance by faith to the Messiah. Thus, when you read Paul, you realize that his use of “under the law” always refers to those who seek to gain justification and righteousness before God on the basis of their own works. Paul would never condemn or speak against those who obey the Torah as an appropriate response to be saved by faith in the Messiah. I would like to ask everyone, “Are you subject to the act?” An important distinction in this passage is this: the flesh and the Spirit are opposites. Works of the law that assume to be “under the law” are the opposite of being guided by the Spirit. But God`s Torah and God`s Spirit are not opposites. I cannot stress this enough. Everything you see in the list above about the works of the flesh is exactly what God speaks against in His Torah.
Indeed, since His Torah is His instruction, one could rightly say that this entire passage is our Father`s Torah (instructions) to His children on how to live.
